摘要:

20世纪50年代兴起于法国的荒诞派戏剧彻底颠覆了传统的戏剧观念。塞缪尔.贝克特的《等待戈多》被视为荒诞派戏剧的经典之作,它集中体现了荒诞派戏剧的艺术特色。回顾了荒诞派戏剧产生的社会原因及历史文化背景,通过简要分析《等待戈多》,探讨了荒诞派戏剧在主题、情节、语言、人物方面对传统戏剧表现方式的反叛。

Abstract:

The Theatre of the Absurd,which was born in France in 1950s,toppled over the conception of traditional plays.Waiting for Godot of Samuel Beckett is regarded as the classical works of the Theatre of the Absurd and it greatly embodies the artistic features of the Theatre of the Absurd.This thesis recalls the social and cultural backgrounds of the naissance of the Theatre of the Absurd.It discusses the disobedience of the Theatre of the Absurd towards traditional plays in the aspects of theme,plot,language and characters by analyzing Waiting for Godot.
