复仇是人类各民族都曾普遍盛行的历史文化现象,不同文化背景的民族文学中都有各具特色的复仇文学主题。《赵氏孤儿》与《哈姆雷特》作为中西方复仇文学的两部经典著作,其复仇主体在复仇行为过程中表现的差异昭示着中西方复仇主题文学价值取向的差异,中国复仇文学偏重关注复仇事件本身,而西方复仇文学则更多地关注复仇主体的精神世界、性格变化等。这种差异的产生实际上又是中西方文化习俗、文学传统等诸般差异作用的结果。

Revenge is a historical and cultural phenomenon once prevailed in different nations.There is a subject of revenge in the nation's literatures under different culture background.The Orphan of Chao and Hamlet,as the two classical revenge stories in China and the west,the protagonist's different actions during the revenge course declared the differences of the value orientation between the Chinese and the west revenge literature.The former stressed on the revenge event but the later focused on the change of the revenge man's mind,personality and so on.In fact this kind of difference was made by the differences of the culture,custom and the literatural tradition between China and the west countries.
