《都柏林人》是乔伊斯力图描绘爱尔兰中下层生活,反映社会精神和道德瘫痪的一部短篇小说集。作为这部小说集的压轴篇,《亡人》无疑是表现瘫痪这一主题的集大成者。从荣格的集体潜意识理论中人格面具和阴影这一角度进行解读,可以更直观地探讨《亡人》中加勃里埃尔精神瘫痪的内在原因。
Abstract：Dubliner is a collection of short novels,which described the life of lower and middle class and reflected the social and moral paralysis.As the last but the most important novel,The Dead is the best one to express the theme,paralysis.This paper tries to analyze Gabriel's persona and shadow from Jung's collective unconscious to research the reason leading to the spiritual paralysis.
